ECSite Launches SMART LOAD™ Cable Tester with Bluetooth

Industry-Leading Telecom Start-Up ECSite Continues to Innovate with Launch of Smart Load™, Resulting in Faster, More Efficient and Precise Testing and Measurement for Wireless Network Builds

SANTA CLARA, Calif—November 4, 2021 — ECSite, a leading software company that provides an end-to-end enterprise SaaS solutions for test and measurement of wireless network builds, today announced ECSite Smart Load™, a cable tester accessory that dramatically simplifies telecom coax cable testing. Building on its industry-leading automation software innovation, ECSite Smart Load allows a single technician to fully verify every aspect of the cable’s operation and quality from one location, which was previously a tedious and manual process.

ECSite Smart Load speeds up field testing five times faster than the current manual process in the market. Using the Smart Load, multiple band testing can be performed much faster since there is no requirement to change terminations in between tests.  Used in conjunction with the ECSite App, all the data moves to the cloud where customers can measure and monitor their wireless network builds easily and securely.

“ECSite was founded on the principle to ‘Automate Everything’ in the telecom industry,” said Subbu Meiyappan, Founder and CEO of ECSite. “We’re committed to the digital transformation that is happening throughout the technology industry and bringing that transformation and our software solutions to wireless network buildouts.”

ECSite is known for its’ award-winning automation software including, the ECSite App and ECCloud™, that streamline wireless infrastructure testing and management to increase the efficiency for installers and network owners. With the addition of ECSite Smart Load to the product suite, this patent-pending innovation accelerates and streamlines the process of wireless network testing and measurement in the field.

ECSite Smart Load is a Bluetooth-enabled, remotely controllable open/short/load/through (Remote OSLT) telecom cable tester. With its 50-foot Bluetooth range, a field technician can switch the cable tester’s functions from a companion mobile app, available in the Apple App Store and Android Play Store. The mobile app allows the usage of the Smart Load to be tracked in real-time. Used in conjunction with the ECSite App, the operator can sequence through all cable tests resulting in a faster, more accurate, and precise closeout package (COP).

ECSite’s first product, ECSite App, is a mobile app that collects and reports on construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operations of wireless infrastructure. The software automates the testing process for wireless infrastructure deployments, accelerating what was once a laborious and tiresome manual process. Based on patent-pending AI, ML, and Computer Vision (CV) technologies, ECSite’s wireless test automation software improves accuracy by reducing human errors that cause inconsistencies in the wireless network build, testing and closeout process. While test automation is the cornerstone of ECSite’s SaaS offering, the field mobile app collects, captures, and manages photos and installation, builds checklists, and verifies the phases of site construction and maintenance, with real-time visibility, all through massive automation at scale. ECSite’s cloud (ECCloud) integrates with most common ERP and Project Management systems including SiteTracker™, Salesforce, Oracle Cloud, QuickBase, and Geospatial systems such as ArcGIS.

“ECSite Smart Load is the just beginning of our testing and measurement ecosystem that will revolutionize the telecom industry. It’s a game-changer,” continued Mr. Meiyappan. “We anticipate launching additional products and software that will enable the digital transformation that the industry has been seeking, bringing real-time visibility and analytics to the cloud.”

ECSite founder Subbu Meiyappan is a serial entrepreneur holding more than 35 patents related to the telecom industry. Prior to the launch of ECSite, Mr. Meiyappan was one of the founders of NextNav, (NASDAQ: NN) a leader in next-generation GPS and 3D geolocation.
